This is from the System Of A Down song, right? “B.Y.O.B”, which they use to mean “Bring Your Own Bombs” (but B.Y.O.B is usually used to mean Bring Your Own Booze). “Everybody’s going to the party have a real good time. Dancing in the desert blowing up the sunshine.” The song is an anti-war song, about the war in Iraq. The “party” is the war and “dancing in the desert” is the war being fought in the desert. Many people are fighting in the war, and they are “blowing up the sunshine” with bombs, which ties in with the song’s title “Bring Your Own Bombs” (i.e. “B.Y.O.B” to the “party” in the desert).

spurlos, The author is probably talking about one of the current desert wars (Iraq or Afghanistan). Everybody's going to the party have a real good time Dancing in the desert blowin up the sunshine. I do believe that he means the people fighting the war are having a good time exploding bombs and shooting guns in the desert sunshine. The war seems to have no real meaning to the soldiers.
