Lorena Ruíz

Lorena is an amazing teacher! She’s very patient and creates a great environment for learning. I’ve been taking classes with her to help with my speaking and writing. She’s been a life saver! I’ve tried many different teachers on different sites, but she is truly one of the best!

Lorena is an incredible tutor. Through our weekly meetings, my comfort and enjoyment speaking Spanish has grown exponentially. My initial goal was to become more fluent in conversation so I could serve Spanish-speaking patients. Lorena challenges me during sessions to use more complex grammatical concepts and vocabulary, but somehow our meetings feel relaxed. She has a breadth of knowledge in a diverse range of topics, so I can practice terms related to my profession, but also chat about personal life, politics, literature, and pets. Learning with Lorena has been the best investment I've made the past year.

Lorena is a fun, engaging, and patient teacher. She is great at speaking at a level that I can understand and helping me expand my vocabulary. I look forward to my lessons with her!

I took the very first Spanish lesson of my life with Lorena. It's scary to try and speak in a new language, but Lorena was so supportive and easy to practice with! I look forward to continuing my studies with her and improving my Spanish. What a great experience!

I really enjoyed speaking with Lorena! She's got a really nice, easygoing demeanor. She's a great listener that engages you with thoughtful questions which keeps the conversation exciting and productive. Even though this was my first time using italki, I was surprised with how comfortable and at ease I felt. I'm excited to speak and learn more!

Lorena is an excellent teacher. I have completed 5 lessons with her and have finished feeling so much more confident in my ability to speak Spanish. She constantly challenges me with asking questions and asking me to read articles which improve my writing ability and vocabulary acquisition and when we speak she will always correct my grammar and give me tips on how to improve. She is patient and extremely friendly, always creating a lovely, relaxing environment for me to continue speaking freely and progress my oral skills weekly. Would highly recommend :)
