Hello, my name is Cẩm Thu, I have a bachelor's degree in English Linguistics. Teaching Vietnamese is my career, and I'm following my Master's degree in Linguistics. I worked for a Vietnamese Language Center in Hồ Chí Minh City and I have a southern accent. I love traveling, learning languages, talking with people, discussing culture, and helping people with their Vietnamese.

I would call myself as a flexible, friendly, organized, and passionate teacher. I always feel happy when I’m in class and listening to students speaking Vietnamese. Being a teacher gives me a chance to keep studying, during my working life I have improved my knowledge of the Vietnamese language and teaching methodology. I am teaching adult students from many countries such as Korea, the USA, Australia, Taiwan, Colombia, America, France, etc.

I don’t like to stick to one book like in traditional schools. I will design my lesson depending on the student's needs. I think it will be more interesting and useful for students. I always customize my teaching to my student’s needs, if you just need someone to practice, I'm ready to be your partner. In my class, I will always find new methods, and activities to help students to memorize effectively, practice, and improve all their skills (speaking, listening, reading, and writing) I’d like to focus more on communication skills for adults. I don’t prefer test preparations and children below 18 years old. Thank you!

Studying with Cẩm Thu has been amazing! She's very patient and takes her time going over the materials and explanations. Especially when it comes to pronunciations. Would definitely recommend her.

I've worked with Cẩm Thu for over a year now, and it's been a blessing. Previously, I had three other tutors who were all excellent, but didn't fit my learning style. Cẩm Thu assigns me homework after almost every lesson and (if I'm good and turn it in early), makes corrections which we review together in the next lesson. She is so mature, organized, and most importantly friendly. My insecurity and lack of confidence in speaking were my biggest hurdle to learning, and I wouldn't have made so much progress if it weren't for Cẩm Thu! I hope I can keep learning with her for a long time!
