Hi! My name is David, I'm 35 years old from the USA, and I've been teaching English for over 10 years to students of all ages. I speak English, Spanish and Cantonese (Chinese) Fluently, and I am currently studying Thai. I have always had a love for languages. My other interests include Cooking (and eating) international food, Yoga, Meditation, Music, Swimming and making new friends.Öğretmen Olarak Ben
My teaching style is highly practical, dynamic and interest driven, which means that based upon the needs of the student in their personal/professional life, I would develop a curriculum which is best fitting for their growth. When it is practical, sincere and tied to their interests, motivation to study as well as retention of the lessons will flow naturally.
I am highly intuitive, and a great explainer of core concepts. I start from getting to know the pupil, then I am able to choose the most relevant and relatable examples to guide them. Together we use the fuel of their interests to magnify their strengths whilst over-coming hurdles to help them achieve their goals and aspirations.Derslerim ve öğretme tarzım
It all begins with YOU - the student. What are your interest, hobbies, and common activities in day-to-day life? Is there something new you are planning to add to this list of routines? Based upon the situations and interactions you encounter daily, we would work together to develop a plan of study which is most relevant to that.
Example, say you just moved to the USA, and starting a job in a restaurant. We wouldn't waste weeks learning grammatical perfection of formal introductions. Casual and polite introductions, vivid description of the menu items, request and answer as well as apologetic tones would be the first "tool box" we would start from, and then build from there.Öğretim materyallerim
