I'm William, a Portuguese and English teacher from Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, with many years of teaching experience. I love not only teaching languages but also sharing the stories and lessons I've learned over time. I have a bachelor's degree in Information Technology and have worked in that field for ten years. Meeting people from all over the world has made me love languages even more. While learning English, Spanish and French, I met lots of people online who wanted to learn Portuguese. Sharing languages and life stories with them has been a great experience, and I'm excited to share it with you. "One language sets you in a corridor for life. Mais do que um professor, William foi alguém que esteve presente em todos os momentos em que precisei durante meu curso de português. Sempre disponível para tirar dúvidas, motivar e apoiar, ele realmente fez a diferença no meu aprendizado. Agora ele está bastante ocupado como eu sou, mas, sempre que o tempo permite, eu tento encontrar um momento para colocar a conversa em dia. Ele também estuda outras línguas, como francês e espanhol, então entende perfeitamente o que os estudantes precisam em um professor. É inspirador aprender com alguém que tem tanto conhecimento e empatia. Sou muito grata por tudo o que ele me ensinou e pelo impacto positivo que teve na minha jornada de aprendizado!

Today was another fun class with William. As usual, he motivated me to talk as much as possible, keeping the conversation flow smoothly. He provided instant feedback and corrections. He also helped me craft my sentences better - to sound more native. I have had many Portuguese teachers on italki, and I can say without a doubt William is the best teacher on this platform. I cannot say enough good things about him. He makes learning Portuguese super fun! Highly recommend!
