Utsav Maheshwari

I have been learning Hindi with Utsav for a few months now, and I am so glad I found him on Italki. He has a great knowledge of Hindi, and a very adaptive teaching style. I find his lessons very educational, informative, and, at the same time, fun. The overall atmosphere is very welcoming. I have learned a lot with Utsav, and every class motivates and encourages me to keep on going. Thank you, Ustav, for what you do. हमेशा looking forward to the lessons!

I really like how Utsav can switch between fun/engaging conversation, cultural/context education, and structured grammatical lessons. Often a teacher will be strong in just one of these 3 elements, but he seems to be able to play each role equally well.

Fantastic lesson. I am learning a lot, especially for past tense and postpositions, such as to, under, on, near, and in! Great class, and I am picking it up much faster due to Utsav's fantastic lessons.

If you’re reading reviews thinking of trying Utsav, just do it. He has been my best Hindi teacher by far from several I’ve tried on italki. He is a qualified linguist with complete mastery of both English and Hindi so he can explain perfectly any questions you have. He is a skilled teacher and can easily adapt your lesson to suit your mood on-the-go. His lessons don’t feel like you’re just reading a textbook, it feels like you’re hanging out with a friend who just happens to know everything you want to learn. Been learning with Utsav for a long time now and will continue to do so. Whatever he is charging it’s worth it, if you choose someone else to save 1-2 dollars per lesson you’re missing out, he is worth it and definitely worth trying.

Utsav is a fantastic teacher. He does a great job of pacing the lesson for your level. Modulating the pace to spend more time on areas that you need more practice with, and moving more quickly through areas you don't need so much help with. he's also very passionate and engaging and it's a pleasure to work and learn with him.
