Chiara was able to quickly gauge my current abilities in the language and design targeted lessons to accommodate my learning needs. As I have an upcoming trip to Italy we focused on commutation and understanding how to read and speak in the situations I will most likely come across during my vacation. We practice with text, with fill in the blanks, with no text present (memory) and she gives me homework to study and prepare. After my trip, we will be focusing more on structure and grammar so that I can continue to work on moving up levels as I hope to take another CILS exam. I feel confident in our sessions and our progress, and will continue to work with and recommend Chiara to other students.

Chiara is the perfect professor if you are serious about your language journey. She is extremely attentive to detail in regards to both grammar and conversation issues that a student might have. Besides that, if you want to prepare for an exam such as the PLIDA or CILS she is more than willing to delineate a plan ( in a reasonable time frame of course ) to achieve your desire goal in the Italian language.

Chiara is an exceptional teacher. I am trying to improve my Italian quickly in preparation for an exam and have committed to a regular course of study with Chiara. I had studied Italian for roughly a year and a half but not very seriously. I had an inconsistent grammatical foundation. Chiara correctly identified my level and gaps in my knowledge and has devised a course of study tailored to my learning goals. I enjoy my lessons with Chiara enormously. She’s diligent and thorough and maintains a quick pace, but makes the learning process feel fun. We usually meet for an hour and the lesson flies by. She is clear and correct my errors in a way that leaves me feeling encouraged and confident that I can continue to improve. I have made tremendous progress in a short period of time thanks to her support. I trust completely that with her help I will be able to take and pass this exam.

I had an introductory lesson with Chiara, and I am extremely impressed with the way she organized the lesson- exploring my learning goals, assessing my level of Italian, and providing me with various options to continue my learning. Her communication was very clear, and she is very easy to talk to. I'm looking forward to taking another lesson with her.

I started lessons with Chiara in January, and it's been the best decision! I needed someone who could work with me towards passing the B1 exam, and she's been so patient as I work through all of the various concepts, vocabulary, grammar, and tasks of the exam. I have been steadily attending 45 minute sessions with her twice a week. Without her, there's no way that my Italian skills would be anywhere near what they are today. Once I pass my B1 exam, I will continue to take one-on-one lessons to go beyond my current language skills. For reference, I began with her with an A1 or low A2 level, but she will meet you wherever you are and tailor your lessons specifically to you. She is friendly and funny, and the lessons go by so quickly!
