Charlotte

I have only good things to say about, Charlotte. I have written before about how good she is as a teacher: kind in an unforced and natural way; patient as you could possibly want; knowledgeable in the subtle differences in English and French grammar; and warm and friendly. With her, I look forward to my italki lessons because I know I'm going to have fun and laugh a lot while I learn with her.

I heartily recommend Charlotte. Interpersonally, she is great: patient, very personable, and supportive. She expresses interest in my week, leading to a comfortable conversation in French which lets me practice speaking. She uses a visual medium to teach: we view a PDF of grammar or exercises and she fluently points out, types, underlines, or highlights the document as we work. So far, she has known how to pace the homework for me as well.

I highly recommend Charlotte if you are looking for a patient, easygoing teacher. I just finished my second lesson with her and she has shown herself to be accommodating to my pacing needs and accepting of my oh-so-slow attempts to speak in French. She explains grammatical concepts with a light touch, explaining things in different, nontexbook ways, which helps with retention. She also types words, endings, and translations on the screen, which helps me connect sounds to the written form.

Charlotte is fantastic and an excellent teacher. She makes the class interesting and enjoyable. She gives good tips and pointers for learning and remembering grammar, new phrases, etc.

I just finished my first lesson with Charlotte, and I am really satisfied. Her advices are relevant and precise, and even after just one class, I could feel a real improvement in my understanding of the exam requirements (DALF C2). What stood out to me the most was the constant encouragement she provides, which really boosts my confidence. I feel truly motivated for the upcoming lessons! :-) Thank you ♥
