I grew up in the United States and English is my first language. I spent most of my business career working for various software companies in Silicon Valley where I was involved in all stages of software development. My family moved to Canada a few years ago and I continued my career teaching business, special topics, and ESL courses. I also worked for a medical software company. My husband and I just moved to Spain (September 2023), and I am now in the process of learning Spanish. Learning a second language has given me great empathy for my students since I have experienced struggles myself learning a new language.Öğretmen Olarak Ben
My passion is teaching and I love to help my students succeed in their ESL goals and careers. My credentials to be an ESL teacher include my TEFL Certification from the University of Toronto (with a specialization in Business English and English Test Preparation). I also have a Bachelor's degree in Business. I have over 40 years of business experience, and most of my experience has been in the computer industry. I home-schooled both of my children for a few years (grade 6 - 12), and taught adult education courses. I feel this vast experience makes me more knowledgeable, applicable, and approachable.
