I'm Native English, living in the UK.
I have over 25 years of experience teaching English in British schools: Private, Primary and Secondary.
I've been teaching full time on Italki for over 6 years, since 2018.
I have taught over 6,000 lessons.
Many of my students re-book lessons with me for 3-4 years because I am an excellent teacher.
I teach Monday to Friday, GMT time 08.00 to 13.00, 16.00-18.00, sometimes longer.
I can also teach English to adults (I have a CELTA qualification).

Celta - Cambridge - 20191 month intensive course. This included all elements of teaching EAL. Since achieving my CELTA I have been teaching EAL to students including test preparation for all Cambridge Exams including A2, B1, B2 and IELTS. I feel that this along with my British teacher degree and over 25 years of teaching experience more than qualifies me as a teacher able to offer test preparation lessons on italki. I have done this successfully since 2018 - look at my reviews on your site.

Batchelor of Education - Cambridge University - 19974 year degree level training at university including extensive teaching practices within the 4 years. During teaching practice we learnt about tests and exams and carried these out with students, taught them the syllabus, marked the practice papers and in some cases marked and graded the papers too. I was a teacher in British schools for 18 years up until 2018 so I have extensive experience and knowledge of preparing children for all English exams: 11+, 13 + ISEB. SATS. IGCSE English.

Batchelor of Education - Cambridge University - 1997I completed a 4 year degree in teaching/education to become a fully qualified British Teacher. I also have my DFEE teacher number to prove that I am a fully qualified teacher in the UK (Department for Education and Employment). I qualified to teach any subject to Primary aged children aged 3-11. I also qualified to teach children English and Drama to 18 as I specialised in this area. Since achieving this degree I taught in British schools for 18 years full time.

The English Speaking Board is a British examining board for Speaking and Listening skills.

Ms Pauline is a wonderful tutor. She is very caring and tries to adapt to the student’s English levels. Every lesson, she greets my child energetically and tells her the lesson aims. If there is something my child does not understand or struggles with, Ms Pauline teaches her patiently. Without her endless love and care, my daughter would not have been getting an offer from her dream school in UK. I recommend that you let your child have a lesson with Ms Pauline!

Pauline’s energy and enthusiasm during the lessons really keep Rufus engaged! Rufus enjoys the activities she incorporated. She provides clear and concise instructions, making it easy for student to follow along. This is especially helpful for phonics practice. The teaching materials used to teach phonics are fantastic! They not only make learning fun but also reinforce the concepts effectively. Pauline creates a supportive atmosphere where students feel comfortable practicing their oral skills,too. It's great to see them gaining confidence. The personalized feedback she gave helps Rufus improve his pronunciation and fluency. It's evident that she cares student’s progress.
