Amine Idrissi

I’m really happy I found Amine because he's definitely a valuable asset. I started with a very chaotic basic knowledge of French from high school, and he was skilled at assessing my grasp of the language and creating personalized lessons. He excels at explaining language and structure, ensuring your complete understanding. Thanks to him, I now listen to French radio and recognize the subtleties of phonetics. Also, his knowledge of other Romance languages helps a lot. I speak Romanian and also learned Spanish, so he takes notions from those languages that apply to French to help me understand better. He has a great teaching method, is very good at explaining complex grammar structures, and has an answer to everything—even for the colloquial expressions you hear in movies. I highly recommend Amine to anyone who wants to learn the language, even if you’re a beginner. He is very easy to talk to and patient enough to explain things until I learn them entirely.

Amine es un excelente profesor. Es muy útil para mí que él sea lingüista de profesión y que sepa mi idioma nativo (español) así como también otros idiomas extranjeros que yo hablo (inglés y alemán), pues así puede darme consejos específicos según las tendencias o problemas típicos que hablantes de esos idiomas tienen al aprender francés. Las clases son entretenidas y se pasan muy rápido porque Amine se asegura de que haya mucha variedad: gramática, ejercicios escritos, ejercicios de pronunciación, conversación y juegos además de tareas de lectura y escritura. Él es muy organizado con el tiempo y el contenido. Amine es muy cordial y paciente. En ciertas ocasiones, cuando se me olvida hacer la tarea, él no me juzga y rápidamente adapta el plan de la clase para que sea lo más positiva y eficaz posible. Amine tiene muchos materiales de enseñanza, lo que le permite adaptarse a mis necesidades e intereses. Recomiendo a Amine 100%.

For years, I've struggled with making progress learning French as a second language. I tried different strategies, usually 'aggressive'. At one point even moving to France to take immersion classes. The lessons with Armine have been the first time that I've ever had measurable (and motivating) progress. This is in part due to his catering the course plan based on the skills I already posses combined with the one on one nature of the lessons. Giving us the time to move at the pace I'm able to as an adult learner with a job and rent etc. But a large part of the success of our lessons I think has been Amine's love of language itself. His passion for translation and the joy of words is infectious. Rather than thinking of learning French as a 'chore to be complete', for the first time in my life, I'm enjoying the process of learning and exploring the language. This feels more sustainable than the all or nothing approaches I would take before, and I have Amine to thank for that.

I’ve been taking weekly French classes with Amine for a few years now and he is one of the best language teacher I’ve met on iTalki! He’s super knowledgable and passionate about languages. Amine’s patient, organized and reliable. I appreciate the structure his classes provide and I’ve always enjoyed our lessons together. He has set a high bar for my expectations in language teachers and I hope I could find a teacher like Amine in other languages I decide to learn.
