I hold two certificates in teaching English as a foreign language from TEFL.org, and a PGCE (general teaching certificate) from the University of Bristol in England. I have taught part-time since 2005, and fully switched to teaching English online in early 2021, having been inspired by my own experience learning a language using Italki. Before Italki, my career history included teaching at science, maths, and coding clubs, and helping at a youth theatre. I have also been a part-time web developer, and have degrees in "Physics and Philosophy" and "English Literature and Theatre Studies". I am always happy to discuss any of that with students if they want to!

Derslerim ve öğretme tarzım

I try to speak English as much as possible in my lessons; this is more immersive for you and will help you improve faster. Having said that, if you are a total beginner, and speak Portuguese or French, it can sometimes be easier to explain in your native language. We can experiment and see what works. My lessons will be based on your goals and priorities, and. if you want, my own suggestions. I teach two lesson types: planned lessons (I will assess your needs and plan exercises for you; optionally, there can be homework) and conversation practise with corrections (we have discussions in English and I correct you; I can send preparatory reading material if you want it).

Will é dedicado e traz aulas personalizadas. Eu o indico a todos que querem aprender ou aperfeiçoar seu inglês. Tive muita dificuldade em encontrar um professor nativo que me aceitasse, mas o Will tem demonstrado que realmente está na plataforma para ensinar a todos, aos que sabem e querem aperfeiçoar seu inglês e aos que não sabem e querem partir do zero. Se vc tem medo ou vergonha de aprender inglês com um nativo, o Will é o professor ideal pra vc. Obrigada Will!!
