Welcome! I am Ece and I am originally from Istanbul. I recently graduated from Boğaziçi University and did molecular biology and genetics. But currently, I am living in Vienna and doing my Master's degree in Vienna University. I have been learning English for about 14 years and I use it on daily basis. I can also speak German and teach Turkish and English using German. I enjoy learning new languages and traveling. I particularly enjoy playing ultimate frisbee and diving. I have a special interest in sustainable practices and hope to work in that area soon.Öğretmen Olarak Ben
I've been teaching languages here on Italki for the past 4 years. I have had over 100 students, each with different goals and needs. I am experienced in creating personalized learning materials for my students and making sure it is a lasting habit for them to study their target language. Language learning should be fun. So rather than learning unnecessary amounts of grammar, I encourage everyone to immerse themselves with the language via songs, videos, news and books. At first lessons, I will get to know the level and the interest of my students. I will recommend some free source they can use to learn English or Turkish.
Reading: assign small articles we can discuss on, I will write small essays with the new words/phrases you've learned in our lessons
Speaking: discussion on a topic of your interest, creating hypothetical daily occurrences and act it out together
Learning Vocab: I will ask you to take note of the new word you've learned every week, give assignment for you to translate songs from your target language
Listening: find cool podcast for you to listen, lullabies
Writing: I will correct your essays that I assigned you to writeÖğretim materyallerim

Ece is an excellent teacher. In the 4 years I lived in Turkey I tried to learn Turkish many times but only managed to learn a handful of words. With Ece, I am improving quickly and feel motivated to work harder and achieve better results. I highly recommend her!

Die Türkischstunden mit Ece kann ich nur empfehlen. In der letzten Stunde habe ich das erste mal eine längere Geschichte fließend auf Türkisch erzählt und merkte, welchen Fortschritt ich gemacht habe, seitdem ich mit Ece angefangen habe. Vielen Dank, Ece!
