Kia Ora! Ko Amelia ahau. I'm Amelia and I am an indigenous Maori woman from New Zealand. I live in Memphis, TN and teach the Maori language, haka, poi and Maori culture to learners living in the USA and globally through my business Learn Maori Abroad. My tribal affiliations (iwi) are Ngātiwai, Ngāpuhi and Ngāti Awa. I look forward to partnering with you on your te reo Māori journey!

I customize my lessons to my students needs. I also created my own Maori language curriculum which I use with my students. I usually give my students homework to work on outside of class.
