こんにちは。こうすけです。
私は日本で生まれて育ちました。今は国際結婚をしてバイリンガル子育てをしながらオーストラリアに住んでいます。
30歳になってから英語を本格的に勉強したので、外国語学習の大変さが良くわかっています。
趣味はハイキング、歴史、サブカルチャーですが、皆さんの話を聞くのが大好きです。
楽しく会話しながら、皆さんが言いたいことを日本語で正しく言えるようにします。（会話のための文法がとても大事です）
I was born and raised in Japan. I live in Australia and raising bilingual child.
I started learning English seriously after I grew up when I was around 30 years old. I know how hard it is to learn foreign languages. (I am relaxed and easy going type of teacher.)
I like hiking, cycling, history, subcultures and love to listen to somebody’s story.

I am a qualified teacher of Japanese. I have more than 15 years corporate business experience in Japan and Australia. I can teach keigo (polite), business Japanese and help prepare for job interviews.
Based on my own experience of living abroad, I can help you learn Japanese words and native-like phrases in conversation which are not taught in textbooks.
I can also teach the nuances of Japanese language to native speakers returning home from oversees and those with Japanese partners.

I've been learning Japanese for a while, and while I feel I have quite a bit of "grammar in my head", I was looking for lessons where I can practice putting that grammar to use.
Kosuke is very good at steering the conversation in a way so that it's neither too simple nor too hard. In just two lessons I have already used (and relearned!) a lot of grammar while also getting more comfortable with conversations in general.
Kosuke is also very good at helping me "getting a feel" for the language (e.g. what sounds more or less natural, or more or less formal) which for a language like Japanese is super helpful.

Thank you Kosuke-San for another great lesson. I've first used Kosuke-Sensei to get up to speed to prepare for a trip to Japan - I had some very (very) basic Japanese knowledge but wanted to expand and get a crash course to be able to communicate at basic level with people (ask for directions, read menus, have some very basic conversations with locals, etc). This was BRILLIANT - Kosuke-San really helped me further my Japanese knowledge by adapting to what I already knew, giving me concrete examples, doing some role play with me and explaining a TON of grammar/cultural points along the way. Trip went extremely well thanks to his inputs and I was able to not only communicate with locals, but also get out of the traditional touristy pathways to explore places frequented by locals only, and thus have a quite authentic experience. Thank you Sensei! I am now continuing classes with Kosuke-San in a more structure way, and again, he is very good at adapting to what I know to help me progress.

I've been studying Japanese intensively with Kosuke-san for the past four months, and I couldn't be happier with the progress I've made.
