My name is Maryam and apart from English, I also speak Turkish and Persian. I am passionate about learning and teaching languages because I believe learning a new language is the key to understanding a new culture. Being well-traveled and exposed to different cultures has helped me successfully teach languages to students from other countries. Your personal interests will form the topics for our lessons together. During our conversations, I will listen carefully to you and advise you of the adjustments you may need to make to your pronunciation, lexical, or grammatical choices in order to help you become an articulate and coherent speaker.

Öğretmen Olarak Ben

I have a CELTA diploma -- Certificate in Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages -- from the University of Cambridge and 20 years of experience teaching English in both face-to-face and online classes. I teach any level of English between beginner and advanced, helping my students to hone each and every one of the four skills-- reading, listening, speaking, and writing. I truly enjoy teaching and helping people achieve their language learning goals.

My students' needs and preferences are the basis of my lesson planning and I believe that if we collaborate together and find out about the language areas and skills that we need to focus on, then we can agree on goals. Whether your goal is to improve your general English or acquire a certain score in IELTS, TOEFL, etc., I will help you achieve it through tailor-made lessons for you. In your lessons with me, your participation in the class will be at the highest of levels and additionally, you will be actively involved in the lessons through speaking practices. To help you achieve optimal success - at the end of each session, I will always provide you with constructive feedback.
