Hi! My name is Yan. 上海出身、師範大学英文科卒。英語教師として働き、後に日本に移住。現在は駐妻として、ホーチミン市で暮らしております。長年多言語、多文化環境に於いて培ったコミュニケーションスキルを皆様の中国語学習にお役に立てれば嬉しいです。
I'm a native Chinese speaker and I also speak Japanese, English, Vietnamese and Thai language. I love travelling, making friends and exchanging languages with people from all over the world.
According to my experience, it is possible to communicate with local people by learning a new language 6
months only. For example, you are able to ask for directions, order foods or go sightseeing even though your vocabulary is still limited. Speaking a language brings you a better understanding of the country's culture.

I have teaching experiences for students from Japan, Thai and Vietnam, including group lessons and one-on-one lessons. With many years of cross cultural experiences living abroad in different countries, I realized learning a local language is indispensable, which makes my life abundant, interesting and meaningful. The most efficient and effective way is to expose yourself to it as much as possible. Learning with a language partner or navigator is the only short-cut. Now It's my pleasure if I can share my strategies, methods and experiences with you. Teaching is learning, I'm sure we can learn a lot from each other. The lessons are well structured and organized and the teacher is extremely helpful sending custom made lesson material after the lesson as well so I can practice by myself.
I have tried many different teachers over the past years with different languages, but I can highly recommend Yan for teaching you.

Yan is a very capable tutor. She has a diverse language background and is able to understand the challenges of learning language. She accurately evaluated my language background and ability and was able to create a personalised lesson plan based on my current skills and interests. Our trial lesson went through Chinese language background and HSK levels. We practiced reading, dialogue and translations. She was patient and gave positive feedback.
