Usually we will start with some conversation and get familiar with each other, then we we do some vocabulary or grammar exercises. After this we will discuss what you need and how you can achieve your goals.

If you want to improve your general English this is the course for you. Every lesson is designed specifically for you and I work with you to make a structured plan so that you can achieve your goals. This course is suitable for levels from pre-intermediate to advanced. 
You will speak a lot in every lesson and we will focus on Grammar, Vocabulary, Reading, Listening and Writing throughout the course.

My Book Club lessons are perfect for students who really want to push their English to the next level! The lessons are based around a popular best selling book (please see the available books below) which we will read together over a course of several weeks, using it as a tool to improve and boost your English skill across all 4 skills - reading, speaking, writing and listening.  

The course includes speaking practice in our live lessons, writing tasks aimed at improving your vocabulary, grammar and writing skill and lots of extra materials for you to watch and learn from. 

You will be asked to read a few chapters of the book BEFORE each lesson. Then during our lesson we will discuss the points raised in those chapters. Each lesson comes with useful vocabulary to focus on before the lesson, discussion questions to guide our debates and conversation and a follow-up writing task for homework. 

The Book Club course is designed to take between 6 - 8 lessons (depending on the book) but we can go at a speed which is comfortable for you, making the course longer or shorter depending on your specific needs.

Book Club - English Reading & Speaking Course

These lessons will provide you with a complete understanding of the IELTS exam and help you pass with the band score that you need. 

Each lesson will be interactive and I will provide plenty of homework tasks to help you continue to practice.  

The lessons are tailored specifically to you and I plan each session to help you improve a specific aspect of your language in relation to the test.

The course will cover every aspect of the IELTS test; Speaking, Listening, Reading and Writing. 

Before our first lesson I will ask you to complete a practice writing, reading and listening test. Then, during our first lesson we will conduct a full speaking test. I will give you detailed feedback and tell you your current level. After this we will we create a study plan so that we can achieve your IELTS goals. 

 The number of lessons required will depend on your current level, your past experience of the exam and how much free time you have. Therefore, it is important for us to work together to create the perfect study plan for you.

These lessons are designed to help you practice and improve your speaking skills for the IELTS speaking test. 

Each lesson will begin with a full speaking test. I will give you detailed and professional feedback and explain to you exactly what you need to focus on in order to improve. 

After this we will look at each individual part of the speaking test and I will give you some useful advice and introduce some key techniques that you can use during the test.

These chapters provide a lot of material for some very serious discussions around the medication of mental illness and our responsibility towards psychopaths. 

Book Club: ‘The Psychopath Test’ C1 Level 

In this course you will watch 6 short documentaries (around 15 - 30 minutes each) on 6 different topics. You will watch the documentary BEFORE the lesson.

While watching the documentary, you will have some optional homework tasks to complete that will help you to understand the main idea and learn new vocabulary. 

During our lesson we will discuss our thoughts and opinions on the documentary with the help of some thought-provoking questions and interactive tasks.
