Students regularly ask me, "How do I know what comes after a verb?"  This is a tough question, and it's no surprise that most EFL textbooks don't talk much about it.  There aren't any easy answers but at the same time, there are some guidelines.

Ich sitze im Garten, im warmen Halbschatten, mit einem kühlen Getränk und lasse die Seele baumeln. Die Sommerzeit ist perfekt zum Seele-baumeln-lassen, wenn man gerade nicht arbeiten muss. Die Vögel zwitschern, und die Blumen duften herrlich. Alles ist ruhig und friedlich. In solchen Momenten kann man die Sorgen vergessen und einfach nur entspannen.

„Die Seele baumeln lassen“ ist eine schöne deutsche Redewendung. Sie bedeutet, dass man sich entspannen und wohlfühlen soll. Es ist wie eine kleine Pause vom Alltag. Man macht nichts Wichtiges, sondern genießt einfach den Moment. Man kann die Seele baumeln lassen, wenn man im Garten sitzt, ein Buch liest oder einen Spaziergang macht. Es ist wichtig, solche Momente zu haben, um sich zu erholen und neue Kraft zu tanken.

Was bedeutet das Bild „Seele baumeln lassen“ genau? Das Wort „Seele“ beschreibt den inneren Teil eines Menschen. Es ist das, was man fühlt und denkt, das, was einen glücklich oder traurig macht. Die Seele ist etwas ganz Persönliches. Außerdem ist die Seele nach religiösem Glauben der körperlose Teil des Menschen, der unsterblich ist und nach dem Tode weiterlebt. Das Wort „baumeln“ bedeutet, dass etwas locker hin- und herschwingt, wie zum Beispiel eine Hängematte. Wenn man die Seele baumeln lässt, stellt man sich vor, dass die Seele ganz entspannt und ruhig hin- und herschwingt. Es ist ein Bild dafür, dass man sich gut fühlt und keine Sorgen hat.

Also, wenn du das nächste Mal Zeit hast, probiere es aus: Setze dich hin, entspanne dich und lasse einfach die Seele baumeln!

#468 道をたずねるフレーズ、について！

大龙：小咪！你也来学生餐厅吃饭啊？我们一起坐吧？

吴小咪：好啊。对了，还有一个星期就是春节了，这是你们第一次在中国过年，你们有什么打算？

铃美：我还没想好呢。

大龙：我也没什么打算。本来想去旅游，不过我听说有“春运”，人太多了。

吴小咪：没错！对中国人来说，春节是最重要的节日。无论我们在哪，都会赶回家的。既然你们两个没有安排，就去我家吧，怎么样？

铃美：会不会太麻烦你们了？

吴小咪：一点也不麻烦！我的家人都喜欢热闹，人越多，我们越开心。

大龙：我听说中国人过年要吃饺子。

吴小咪：看情况。在北方，大部分人爱吃面食，过年的时候，一家人一起一边包饺子一边聊天。可是在南方，很多人过年的时候不吃饺子。

大龙：原来是这样，我以为所有人都要吃饺子。

吴小咪：每个地方都有自己的习俗，所以年夜饭不太一样。我外婆是广东人，她们过年的时候要吃“盆菜”，就是一盆海鲜。我有个浙江的同学说，她们过年会吃年糕。我的四川朋友，过年之前会准备熏肉和腊肠，好吃得不得了！对了，大部分人都会吃鱼。

铃美：我知道！“鱼”和“余”的读音一样，吃鱼是希望“年年有余”。

吴小咪：是的。

大龙：那你们家过年吃什么？

吴小咪：我们家会做鱼，还有一些海鲜和很多炒菜，也会包饺子。

铃美：你们喝什么？

吴小咪：喝的东西有很多。一般来说，喝白酒比较多，也有的喝红酒，还有的喝果酒或者米酒。不喝酒的人，就喝饮料或者茶。

大龙：我发现不管是哪个国家，节日都和美食有关系。

铃美：这就是节日的重要意义吧！

AHUAUTLE 1
Se piensa que el ahuautle es de huevos de mosco, sin embargo, se trata del huevo del axayácatl, un tipo de chinche de agua. Su nombre proviene de los vocablos en náhuatl “atl” (agua) y “huautli” (semilla de la alegría o amaranto), por lo cual, significa “amaranto de agua”. Basta con ver estos huevecillos para entender que el parecido con los granos de amaranto es inmenso. Aunque sin duda, el parecido con el amaranto solo es superficial pues el ahuautle posee un olor penetrante y un sabor único, que difícilmente se puede olvidar.
Muchas personas han comparado su sabor con el del camarón, sin embargo después de haberlos probado podemos decir que el sabor de estos huevecillos es fuerte e incomparable y solo podrá entenderlo quien lo haya degustado.
Según Gilberto Contreras Rivero, profesor del área de Ecología en la Facultad de Estudios Profesionales Iztacala, el ahuautle es el caviar mexicano por excelencia. Cabe señalar que hay quienes le otorgan este título a los escamoles, que pertenecen, junto con los huevos de mosco, a la orden de insectos Hymenoptera.
El consumo del ahuautle comenzó durante la época prehispánica. Se dice que era presentado en la mesa de los emperadores -Moctezuma, por ejemplo-, quienes se deleitaban comiéndolos recién sacados del lago a la hora del desayuno. Y es que tanta era la preferencia por este platillo que incluso cada 52 años -duración del siglo mexica-, este caviar se utilizaba en las ceremonias dedicadas al dios del fuego: Xiuhtecuhtli. Durante estos rituales, después de que seres humanos eran sacrificados, se encendía fuego sobre su pecho vacío -pues previamente se había extraído el corazón- y se rociaban huevecillos de axayácatl sobre el cadáver que iba vestido como Xiuhtecuhtli.
Dato curioso: El culto al axayácatl fue de tal magnitud que así se le nombró al sucesor del emperador Moctezuma I y padre de Moctezuma II.
