Japanese daily life podcast のAtsushiです。
このPodcastは、日本語を勉強しているみなさんに向けたPodcastです。

日本の年度始まりについて話します。
年度というのは、1年間をどこで区切るか、ということです。日本では、2023年度といえば、だいたいの会社や学校は2023年4月から2024年3月をいいます。

でも、海外だと、9月はじまりが多かったりしますね。では日本はなぜ4月からはじまるのか、知っていますか？
それについて話をしますね！

実はこれには江戸時代に関係があります。
江戸時代は日本の1600-1870年ぐらいまでの約300年ぐらい続きました。この時代にも税金を払っていたんですね。ですがこの時はお米でした。米を税金の代わりに納めていたんですね。時代は変わって明治時代になります。明治時代になると米を納めることはなくなりました。その代わりに米を売ってそのお金を税金として納めるようになりました。米を売ってすぐに税金を納めるのはむずかしかったので、時期がずれて4月が年度はじめになった、ということです。

ぼくははじめ、桜が咲いたりする時期で、なんとなく出会いと別れのイメージがありますが、それは自分で勝手に結びつけていたイメージなんだなと思いました。

一方で、海外はなぜ9月が多いかというと、これも同じような理由でした。夏は収穫で忙しい時期だったので、その後の9月にビジネスなどの新年度が始まるようになったそうです。いくつかのネットの情報を見たり、chat GPTに聞いてみたりしました。

ということで、日本では新しくはじまる時期が4月なんですね。それで新しいことを始める、という人も多いと思います。ぼくは今、英語を勉強していますが、オランダ語も勉強しようと思っています。Duolingo では、いろいろと言語を勉強しているんですが、それはまぁ、遊んでいる感じですね。今年はオランダ語、がんばって勉強しようかなぁと思っています。

#236 日本ではなぜ4月からいろいろはじまるのかについて！



おはようございます！Atsushiです。
今日の天気は晴れです。
気温は12℃！朝は寒くなってきました。

みなさんは日本の食べ物は好きですか？
今日は特に関西に多い、粉もん、という食べ物について話します。

粉もんにはいろんな食べ物があります。
例えば、お好み焼き、たこ焼き、うどんなどのことを言います。他にも、パンやパスタなども含めていうこともあります。

粉もんとは粉から作る食べ物のことです。粉もんは主に小麦粉で作った食べ物のことを言います。そば粉や米粉など色々な穀物（こくもつ）で作った食べ物も入ります。  「粉もん」という言葉は、江戸時代に粉にして食べる習慣が庶民（しょみん）にも広まりました。その頃から「こねもの、粉物」といった言い方が変化して各地に広がりました。
お好み焼きやたこ焼き、うどんなどの歴史もその頃からはじまっているようです。  お好み焼きは、今のような形になったのは昭和の時代、80年ぐらい前だと思います。大阪では昆布ダシの文化が発達して、この昆布ダシを入れ材料全部を混ぜて焼く、「混ぜ焼き」に発展したと言われています。  たこ焼は今のようにたこが入ったのは昭和になってからで、明石（あかし）焼きの影響（えいきょう）を受けたといわれていわれています。明石焼は出汁につけて食べます。たこ焼きはソースを塗ったりマヨネーズを塗ったりして食べます。  こういう話をしていると、お腹がすいてきましたね！笑

今日は粉もんについて話しました。日本に旅行に来る時は、特に関西、大阪とかですね、ぜひ粉もんをいろいろ食べてみてください！
