四:”独“字里为什么有狗和虫 & 独裁

大家好,我是Honglin老师。欢迎来到我的汉字频道。
这是我的第四次推送。今天要给大家分享的字是,“独“,孤独的独,独自的独。
“独”是一个,单个的意思。这个字呢,左边是犬字旁,指的是狗;右边是个虫子,也是一种小动物。那一只狗和一只虫子,为什么组成了“一个”“单个”的意思呢。
独其实是个会意字,也就是说,它把两个单独的汉字放在一起表示一个新的意义。狗有什么特点呢,它们会为了食物打斗,失败了,狗就逃走,赢了,这只狗就可以独自享受食物。那虫子呢?
在以前,或者在繁体字里,独不是这样写的。犬字旁的右边其实是个“蜀”字。这个“蜀”有时候也用来指四川省,中国西南部的省份。它是指的是一种喜欢独自呆在一种花里的虫子,长得有点像毛毛虫。
狗喜欢吃独食,这个叫“蜀“的虫子又喜欢独自在花里。那把他们两个放在一起,就变成了独,表示“只有一个”。
那今天给大家分享一个含有“独”的词语,叫“独裁”,“独裁”。大家应该都听说过卓别林,Charlie Chaplin。他有一部非常伟大的电影,叫“The Great Dictator’,讲了一个想要统治全世界的人,翻译成中文,就是《大独裁者》。所以独裁的意思,就是指独自裁断,独揽政权,一个人统治一个国家。而这样的人,就叫,“独裁者”。
