New French courses!!!

Hello everyone. I hope you enjoy learning new languages or improving them. I need your advice. Next week I'll begin new French courses in Baku with French Embassy-l'Institut français Azerbaïdjan. I'll take beginner courses, total 23 lessons, twice a week. But I need intensive learning methods. What do you advice? I can spent at least 1 hour every day for it. Which textbooks and Internet sites are useful. Please share your practice! Thank you in advance.

Hi there, One question (I'm just curious), why do you need intensive learning methods? What's your goal?

I don't feel it is  better way to explain too detail on grammatical tips especially to the beginners, because it sound too conceptional and abstract. If you can do, just try draw a big apple tree on blackboard ,and each branch means for lexical property or clause, and apples means for what should have to check.

Thank you Melanie for your comments. I bought Alter Ego 1 today for our first lessons  as it was advised by tutor. 

I'll look for books which you wrote.

here are some resources I found useful:

Books

Grammaire progressive du Francais (publisher: CLE International)

This is a series of exercise books available for three levels of proficiency. It's very useful for practising grammar; one page explains the material followed by several exercises on it. It may seem monotenous, but getting the grammar right as soon as possible will save you pain later.

There are several and at different levels.

Practice speaking as much as possible with other learners or if possible native speakers.
