I know that gong zuo means both job and to work but if I am trying to ask what is your mother's job or what work does your mom do, how do I say it?
Which one is grammatically correct and sounds more natural?

Or is it all wrong and it's something else?

You can also use "zuo" 做 to say,
Ni mama zuo shenme gong zuo?
你媽媽做什麼工作？
你妈妈做什么工作？

This one is very natural,and u can use this sentance everywhere just changing Subject.
