Watching American TV shows/movies can really help to take your English skills to the next level. I think by combining watching the shows/movies, reading subtitles, reading plot synopses, writing reaction essays, editing those essays and discussing the shows with a teacher, it can help to give your English the boost it needs, especially for learning the way people really speak (as opposed to textbook English).
What shows/movies do you watch as part of your English language learning program? Do you have any recommendations of effective ways to use media in a learning or teaching program? Do you find that it helps you learn more about American culture?
I watch "the big bang theory" I don't know if it's a real help to express myself in english but it´s a good training for the understanding and to have a good slice of laught of course.
anythings interesting.. but I liked Sherlock, Big Bang theory, Mentalist
Friends by by David Crane and Marta Kauffman is one of the sitcoms I've watched to improve my listening skills. It not only helpped me with my English but also enabled me to get familiar with American cultrure and how American people live (at that time).
The Big Ban Theory is another sitcom that I watch, but without subtitle it would be hard for me to understand the scientific things --after all I'm not a fan of Star Wars.
The Dead Walkers. 2 Broke Girls. Agents of Sheild. The Vampire Diaries The Dead Bad...I love them so much!
Friends forever))
