Today I talk about Korean traditional clothes Hanbok. Today I will talk about Korean traditional clothes ‘Hanbok’ Hanbok originated from Northern nomadic ethnic group. It continued to ancient countries of Korea, Goryeo, Baekje, Silla. It is consisted of traditional Korean overcoat(durumagi), jacket(jeogori), pants(baji) and skirt(chima). Hanbok has distinguishing feature from the other countries where are near Korea, China and Japan. Its beauty is known as well that straight and mild curve is matched well and is in harmony. And it shows various colors and patterns. Since It isn’t tight, it doesn’t show your body shape, so if you are a bit fat, you could see beautifully, and it is designed easy to move. Recently, Korean people wear Hanbok occasionally. Only they wear it when their wedding ceremony and two biggest holidays in Korea like Chusuk(it is same as Thanks giving day) and Seol(Lunar new year’s day). Although it is easy to move and has many benefit like ventilation or heat reservance, modern society people prefer to wear daily clothes which most of world wide people wear. Even if these days it is hard to find to wear Hanbok, you can still try it at Korea culture center or tourist spot where you can experience traditional Korean culture. Lately, in korea, there is a trend that some people wear modernized Hanbok. It isn’t fancy but easy to wear and made same as modern clothes. At the conclusion, I hope Koreans preserve our traditional culture and wish we could have chances to wear Hanbok more than now. I am so sad because I couldn’t explain our traditional culture and Hanbok exactly. I did it as much as I could, but I know it isn’t enough. Just, I hope the people who read my essay could have a chance to know about Korean culture. Thank you for reading my note. Correction is always welcome.
