Should teenagers work part time to earn their pocket money?
Nowadays teenagers get pocket money for personal expenses from their parents. But sometimes they feel that it is not enough for everyday life, but it's heavy-handed to ask parents for money.
I think that a part-time job is a good way to avoid this awkwardness and become an independent adult. First, it gives a useful introduction to the world of work. Teenagers learn teamwork, responsibility, punctuality and get the work experience. Second, it teaches the value of things and time and it teaches one to be careful with money and to be responsible for words and actions. And finally, it makes teenagers independent from parents.
But lots of parents think that a part-time job has bad influence on teenagers' lives. They think teenagers are too young to work and they should concentrate on school instead of a part-time job that takes up a lot of time.
I am do not agree with this point of viewbecause there are lots of different jobs that don't take up a lot of time, like courier, animator or ads sticker. Besides, they can find a holiday job that won't interfere with studies.
In conclusion I want to stress on that fact that every teenager dreams of plunging into adulthood as fast as possible. And a part time job is a good way to be closer to the dream.
