Well......technically no, it is not. Fish is seafood. However, on a practical level, many people think of it as meat. From a vegetarian perspective, I have to disagree a bit with Abbie Cort ESL. At one point, certain people who called themselves vegetarians ate fish and/or dairy products (eggs, cheese, milk, etc.) but no "red meat" (beef, pork, lamb, venison, etc). Over time, the community that practiced vegetarianism created more and more specific definitions. The purest definition assumes you do not eat any animal product. Currently, a "true vegetarian" eats no meat, dairy or fish products. Such people are now known as "vegans." "Pescetarians" omit meat from their diets but eat fish and seafood. For the record, I eat it all!

No. People who are vegetarians don't eat meat, but they'll eat fish.

I think so. Light meat^^ I like eating fish rather than eating beef or pork.
