SCRIPT
#1. (Definition of "unload" and this is one of the examples)
Then the store manager, depending on her mood, might unload on (give a tongue-lashing to) the manufacturer for shipping shoddy products.
#2.
Paul: "I wanted to apologize for my outburst yesterday."
Lynette: "Don't worry about it. We unloaded a lot on you."
QUESTION
I thought "we unloaded a lot on you" mean is that
"this is not a big deal for us! so don't worry!" (at least at #2)
However, once I read #1, I get confused about the definition.
In #1, the store manager unload on the manufacturer.
It means he obviously scold the manufacturer!
But in the drama, there's never such an annoying feeling going on.
So, what's the accurate meaning of it?
I'll wait for your answer.
Thank you so much!
