is this sentence correct or need to be corrected? many people mistake "being jealous' for " having a sense of competition". sometimes people try to achieve something because they think they deserve but it be considered as a kind of emulation

The main issue was missing capital letters. Please don't omit them. "Many people mistake being jealous for having a sense of competition. Sometimes people try to achieve (attain?) something not because they think they deserve it, but instead out of a kind of emulation." The second sentence was a bit difficult to decipher because of the shaky structure. I interpreted it to mean that copying someone can be a greater motivation than the object itself.

in my first comment i used 'emulation' with a close meaning to jealousy. however what i meant is that Samsung copied the design of the rival company's product and i do not know whether they did it out of jealousy or not. Emulate, in its broadest sense, means COPY

همچشمی It means to be madly jealous of one's possessions that you feel complled to earn the same things at any cost. It has a disapproving sense into it, right? Look at the following example; I am a footballer who is an ardent fan of Chris Ronaldo. I am trying to emulate his free-kick style. These sentences give an implication that Ronaldo is my role model and I would like to imitate his style so that I will be admired too. هم چشمی in our language is sometimes mistranslated as competitiveness, but that is an erroneous connotation given that competitiveness is approving and has a positive meaning into it while همچشمی convey the feeling of hatred, jealousy and .... I hope you can make out the difference. By the way, Do Not Trust Bilingual Dictionaries!
