What do you think this way of talking? Is clicking tongue not so bad manners? Please take a look at this video. It was at 0:50. "It's ... (here) it's beautiful" I'm glad if you give me your opinion. https://youtu.be/wVBJJySWfoA?t=45s I sometimes see native English speakers clicking their tongue in conversation like this video. If someone does this during talking with me, I tend to focus on their way of speaking more than topics. It's not only me feeling that because I found out that many Japanese people asked the same question on a Japanese website, but answers were only from Japanese so it still remains a matter of speculation. I guess the Japanese way of using tongue is quite different from English one so I don't see Japanese people do that. In Japan, it's considered bad manners so I hope Japanese learners know this.

I'm not really hearing tongue clicking in this video. I hear words well-enunciated. I am not learning Japanese but perhaps it is just that English has more hard or firm consonants at word endings so you hear a tongue click.

All I heard was a very sensitive mic picking up the lady breathing. She seemed to inhale slightly and move her mouth at the same time. There was an almost imperceptible click from her saliva when her tounge moved. I would never have noticed it had I not been listening for it.

It's a subconscious thing that people do when they are thinking what to say next. It shows that the person has paused to think, but they have not finished their sentence yet. Some people might make a noise like "hmmmm", or say "well" instead, for the same reason. It is not deliberate. But it is not rude at all, really it is helpful because it indicates that they are thinking.

I doubt I would have noticed she did it if you hadn't made me aware of it. I don’t consider it bad manners at all. If she or someone else did it every 3 words I think I would find it a bit distracting, but I have never noticed anyone doing that.

And just to make things totally confusing, we will also say "Tch! Tch!" about something we disapprove of.
