Emotions play a key role in human life as they operate as motivators. Emotions can be positive or else negative and have a great impact on us. There are six basic emotions: happiness, sadness, anger, fear, surprise, and disgust. Emotion refers to the physical; what you do, the way you behave. A sentiment can be defined as a mental attitude. It is a thought that has been influenced by emotion. A sentiment allows the individual to convey his emotion through expression. The sentiment is the part that can be expressed.

Emotion is more like the expression of something you feel , and the sentiment is just a feeling you cant really express physically . Hope I helped you , if you still dont understand you can always look in a dictionary .

Emotion is a feeling that you experience, but you can also communicate it, for example in speech or writing. Sentiment is the emotion that is communicated.

The word "sentiment" is used to express the tender reactions people have toward objects or people. People can react in a sentimental way when they see an object that reminds them of their childhood. The word "sentiment" can also be used to express exaggerated displays of affection. For example, a grandmother might be described as acting in an overly sentimental about the grandchildren by hugging them and praising them. The word "sentiment" covers a range of reactions from mild affection to more excessive displays of one's tender feelings. The word "emotion" is a stronger word. It can represent powerful feelings both favourable and unfavourable toward people, ideas and objects. Hate, passion, jealousy are emotions that usually lead to strong actions. Hope this helps
