grammar. not grammer by practicing. not for practice. me too. I learned English alone since I was six and I never gave a fuck to grammar. yeah, let's be sincere, I needed to study a little of grammar, 'cause, I'm not saying that it is impossimble to learn a language without grammar, but you need at least a little of grammar, over a 45% of your English should have grammar learning involved. when you are learning a new language, you should learn grammar too, it's important. don't be thinking that only because you learned your own language without knowing anything about grammar, you are gonna learn a new language the same way, no, you are not, gramma can never be the focus, but it is also necessary, even if it's boring, it might be being boring for you because you might be overpowering your mind with it, just relax, that's not the focus and it can't be, but it's also essencial. if you have studied at least just a little of grammar, you'd know how to write things with sense, and not non-sense things like: "for practice" it doesn't make sense in English and it's totally incorrect in all terms (grammar and speaking).

While I usually agree with Hilary's comments, I must admit that there may be people who learn from experience more than from stufy of tables and rules. . I think it comes to the same thing. If you are to be understood and indeed understood easily with teh right meaning, you must pick up grammar, whether you study it formally or whether you poicjk it up from examples as children might. If you can do the second, then you have my admiration. . The problem with practicing something that is wrong is that it becomes second nature as it is, wrong. You might be teaching yourself to feel right about something that just doesn't mean what you think it does. . I hope you learn to speak English well. :) "talk" --> "speak" :) I hate grammar. I just want to speak English for practice.

That is like saying I want to build a house - I don't care about the engineering, I just want it to look pretty. Grammar provides the underlying structure - without it you are just stringing words together in a way that may, or may not make any sense. Good luck finding someone to talk to who will understand you.
