Hello! They do not necessarily mean the same thing. "deserving more" = talking about *quantity* (deserving a large amount of something than what you are getting now) "deserving better" = talking about *quality* (deserving a better quality of something than what you have now) However, depending on the context, they could mean more or less the same thing. For instance, we can interchangeably say "I deserve more than this" with "I deserve better than this!" in the context of talking about a relationship with someone that isn't working out. This is very much a matter of interpretation. Here's mine. 1. "Deserve better" means what it says. Perhaps you have been very badly treated at work, and you think it was undeserved. Or you have had poor customer service somewhere, and you think it was unjustified. In both those circumstances you might say that you deserve better. 2. "Deserve more" can (just about) be a synonym for "deserve better" - it implies "I deserve more consideration", "I deserve more care". However, it can alternatively mean lots of other things. The most obvious is literally deserving more of something. eg. Why did the dinner lady at school only give me a small piece of pie? I deserve more! I put all the work into this project and have got no recognition for it. I deserve more! etc. I hope that makes sense! Other people will have different interpretations.
