There are 56 ethnic groups in my country. Each of them has its own traditional clothes that have a similar style to many other Chinese traditional clothes. About 150 years ago, our ancestors only wore traditional clothes, until westerners spread their dressing style all over the world including in my country which deeply influenced our dressing styles. Compared to western-style suits and their slim shape, our traditional clothes featuring a looser shape and patterns embroiled on them represent our traditional culture and are quite elegant. The yellow traditional clothes represented royal power, only emperors, queens and other members of the royal family (court?) were allowed to wear it. But it wasn’t always the case, people who lived in Qin dynasty 2000 year ago, including the emperors, really liked black clothes. Nowadays, most Chinese people like to wear suits and jackets. Only a little portion of Chinese people like collecting and wearing traditional clothes as a hobby. Korean traditional clothes, kimono and Vietnamese traditional clothes were all developed in different ages under the influence of Chinese traditional culture. People in these countries wear traditional clothes more frequently/often than us. But I can see a revival of our traditional clothes among young people. It's great!
