Sokneang

I really enjoy learning with Sokneang! I haven't been learning Khmer for that long, but Sokneang helps me feel at ease with the language and encourages me with her positive attitude. The lessons are really fun, easy to follow and have a relaxed atmosphere. She has a lot of material to go through and also provides a lot of individually prepared review material. 😊

I recently started learning Khmer with Sokneang. Her teaching is very good and I learned a lot already in only a few lessons. She gives me a preview of the lesson in Quizlet, and we review when the lesson starts. She includes audio on the flashcards, which is very helpful. I enjoy her class and look forward to continue learning with Sokneang!

Great lesson with Sokneang! We started with a vocabulary review and came up with many sentences. Sokneang provided the review document before the lesson so that I could prepare. We also did some other exercises (fill-in-the-blank, etc.). After that, we learned to combine more vowels with the "group or" consonants. Sokneang is very supportive and adjusts each lesson to be enough of a challenge but not too much of a challenge. I always get a lot out of each lesson with Sokneang!

Sokneang is very patient and provides you a lot of materials for you to study before lessons so you can review! I really like the format of her lessons, she makes sure that you practice speaking and listening, and constantly quizzes you so that you practice active recall of the language. I’m Cambodian-American and didn’t really know much Khmer, but Sokneang is super kind to me and enthusiastic to help me learn and study the language. I’m having so much fun learning with her, so I highly recommend her!! I feel comfortable being able to practice pronunciation and repeat myself when I struggle and she always introduces me to new words and phrases during the lessons so that I understand more as I learn.

Great lesson with Sokneang! We learned all about using "ban" in Khmer. It has many different uses. Sokneang gave a good explanation of each use along with several example sentences. We also did some reading/blending and we played a game (which Sokneang won). Sokneang did a great job of adapting the class. She is helping me make continued progress and improvement!

Great lesson with Sokneang! We reviewed the vocabulary for "places" that Sokneang gave me before the class. Sokneang asked me questions and we read a dialog using the new vocabulary. We also practiced the consonants and vowels. I'm glad that Sokneang is helping me to learn the reading, and that it keeps improving. Sokneang is well-prepared for each class and has different activities to keep things interesting. Her class is fun and she has a good sense of humor!
