Hello! I’m Matthew born and raised in the UK. I currently have a range of interests such as reading, writing & blogging, exercise and language learning. Language learning is definitely my main passion. I have learnt Cantonese by myself as an adult to fluency (advanced level) from scratch. On top of this I am learning my second foreign language: Mandarin Chinese and I hope to reach fluency in multiple foreign languages in the future. This means I am someone whose very familiar with the language learning process. I recently have started Teaching English as a Second or Foreign language.Tôi với tư cách là giáo viên
I currently have formal & informal teaching experience. I have tutored 60-70 lessons of Maths in the past mainly to 15-16-year-olds wanting to pass the GCSE public exam but have decided to transition to teaching English as a foreign language due to finding language learning and different cultures to be fascinating. During this time of professional tutoring each student had their own tailored learning program depending on their learning preferences and goals.
On top of this, I have informal teaching experience teaching English as a foreign language through language exchange where I would teach someone else English and they would teach me their native language.Phong cách dạy & bài học của tôi
I am a strong proponent of the communicative language approach. This means during most of our lessons I will encourage the students to talk and practice speaking, especially for those wanting more conversation-style classes. For those that want more structure in their lessons I can offer that too, with the main focus either being vocabulary & grammar or the 4 skills (reading, listening, speaking & writing). As an accomplished language learner myself, I agree also that much of the learning goes on in between lessons so often I would recommend some form of homework / self-study in between lessons.Tài liệu giảng dạy của tôi

Tutorful Maths Tutor• Each lesson was planned and delivered, mainly from text books and available past papers to encourage and grow the student's understanding of the subject's material. Online material was also taught on occasions in lessons and given out as homework.
• Student's were motivated in many different ways from starting at a place that they feel comfortable to challenging them when felt appropriate. Aim is for the student to enjoy Maths themselves through my passion & enthusiasm.
