Adrian Makoć

Adrian is the best Polish teacher you can find. He's always fun to talk to and he is very knowledgeable. In the very rare occassion that he doesn't have an answer, he will research it so he can explain any aspect of the language as best as possible. I'm still at a beginner level, but I'm feeling very comfortable during lessons with Adrian even while I'm still struggling with almost every Polish sentence. He makes learning Polish fun and thanks to Adrian I'm actually starting to believe that I'll be able to understand and speak this language someday!

I felt profoundly sad during today's lesson with Adrian because it was just so impossibly awesome that the lessons I've had with other tutors here on iTalki which I was once able to appreciate now pale so drastically in comparison that they now seem simply intolerable and lacking in value! Adrian is simply resides on a whole different plane of existence, an entirely different universe as a language teacher, and I wish everyone I met were like Adrian, teachers or others, and that all other life experiences were more like my lessons with him -- intense, linguistically productive, intellectually fulfilling and emotionally enriching. My lessons with Adrian are the greatest blessings I have in my life right now! I say this all the time but seriously, thank you for your time, for helping me so immensely, and for all the work that you do. It's hard labour teaching 1.5 hour long Polish beginner lessons every day and to do it with so much investment! You are extraordinary!

I have worked with Adrian for over a year on Polish, and I continue to look forward to our lessons, due to his positive nature and excellence in teaching the Polish language. He is immediately adaptable and prepared to pivot if I have questions about a certain topic in grammar or history, or anything personal to me. He is always very well prepared and enthusiastic. It has been helpful that he speaks English extremely well, in order to help me fill in words that I'm trying to express. Adrian is the best!

Having attempted a few times to tackle learning polish and despite having some wonderful teachers on here I still found myself overwhelmed and frustrated by the language. It just seemed insurmountable. I never in a million year imagine'd I'd hear myself saying a polish lesson was "fun" or "enjoyable" or that I'd be laughing my way through but with Adrian's guidance, classes are just that. Not only does he have the skillset to present these tricky concepts in a way that is both simple and logical but he also has a sharp intuition in knowing where you need to go and what you should be working on and he tailors his approach accordingly. But most importantly he leaves you feeling inspired and enlightened to keep going which (esp. for a language like Polish) is critical. I think they're many good teachers on this platform who can give you explanations and examples but a GREAT teacher is one who possesses innately the ability to inspire, charm and educate. Adrian is one of those teachers! :)

Adrian is an amazing teacher! I’ve tried many Polish teachers on Italki, but as soon as I started having lessons with Adrian, I stopped with all the others and have remained faithful to him. He’s deeply engaged with my progress, always listens carefully to everything I say, focuses on correcting essential problems, and repeats things with me in a way that helps me truly improve my speaking. I’ve made so much progress in the year that I’ve been learning with Adrian that I view my life as being divided into the pre-Adrian Era and the current Adrian Era! I’m finally starting to feel confident when speaking Polish, thanks to Adrian. I hope to have many more lessons with him. :-)
