Sandrine

Sandrine is an outstanding educator whose teaching transcends traditional methods, turning each lesson into a rich, immersive experience. Her approach is marked by great sensitivity and an intuitive grasp of my needs, which allows her to tailor her instruction to foster both my academic growth and personal development. I highly recommend her!

I had a really fun lesson with Sandrine today. We watched a short film (that was without words), and I had to pause throughout the video and describe the scenes. Looking forward to the next lesson. Sandrine is wonderful!

Excellent lesson, as always fun and informative! This week we read and discussed an article. Sandrine has a wonderful teaching style in that she corrects any errors of grammar or pronunciation as we go along if it is necessary at that point, but otherwise waits until the end of the lesson. She then gives me the opportunity to attempt to correct my mistakes myself, which is very effective in helping me to learn from my errors.

Sandrine's lessons are a great way not only to improve my spoken french but also my knowledge of French culture, history, current affairs etc. The subjects we cover are always interesting and I learn so much each lesson. At the end of each lesson she goes through the mistakes that I have made which is always useful. The lessons are relaxed, fun and informative!

Another brilliant lesson again today. We watched a short film, which I paused to describe the action that had taken place. I learned lots of useful new vocab. Each lesson we also have a chat about current affairs and news items, which is always really interesting - and a great way to practice conversational skills.

My very first 30min session with Sandrine was more than I expected. She asked what kind of guidance I was looking for (grammar correction during conversation, rephrasing casual expressions to a more sophisticated, professional language) and made our objectives clear. She also made it clear HOW she likes to correct, which is at the end of each lesson, we go over the mistakes I made instead of breaking the flow of our conversation; except, if I make a repeated mistake, Sandrine would tell me immediately without waiting for the end. We had a quick one for today, and I also realized Sandrine doesn't just list my mistakes but she lets me correct them myself. This way, I'll remember my mistakes longer and effectively. Of course this won't matter if the conversation wasn't fun but I really enjoyed talking to Sandrine, so, booked an 1h session this time! Excited for our next session ☺️
