My name's Verity and I was born and grew up in London. The reason I decided to become an English teacher is because I am passionate about linguistics and believe that with the correct approach anybody can learn a language and have fun whilst doing so. For the past few years i've been trying to teach myself Turkish. At first I found it frustrating and was tempted to give up but I persevered and it soon became one of my main hobbies. I even decided to move to Turkey, where I ended living for a few years. This experience has made me a better English teacher as I can put myself in my students shoes and sympathise with them.
