Hi, I'm Riska Rafaldini, a small-town girl with a big love for music and adventure! I spent my childhood exploring the hills of Garut, West Java, before making Bandung my home. Music has been my constant companion since I was little—it's practically in my DNA! You'll often find me singing along to my favorite tunes or hiking the local hills every Sunday for a dose of fresh air and stunning views. I'm also a keen online explorer, connecting with people from all corners of the globe. I love learning about different cultures and practicing my English. From bustling classrooms to intimate one-on-one sessions, my teaching career has taken me on a diverse and rewarding journey since 2011. I cut my teeth teaching English to both elementary and high school students in a language center, before transitioning to private tutoring from home. Currently, I'm inspiring young minds as a middle school English teacher. I've even had the privilege of introducing international children to the beauty of Bahasa Indonesia. This varied experience has honed my ability to adapt to different learning styles and create engaging lessons for all ages. In our lessons, we'll focus on developing practical conversation and clear pronunciation – essential skills for effective communication. I believe in a collaborative approach, and I'm always open to your suggestions on how we can best tailor the lessons to your learning style and goals. To maximize your progress, regular practice is key, and I'll provide targeted homework assignments to reinforce what we cover in class. We can also incorporate assessments to monitor your improvement and ensure you're achieving your learning objectives. Riska is an excellent Sundanese teacher. I highly recommend her for instruction in Indonesian or Sundanese. She is patient, kind, and flexible, and encouraging; even though I’m a total beginner in Sundanese, I feel motivated and confident thanks to her. I learn so much from our lessons, and I love that she goes way above and beyond to create interesting materials for us to review together. Hatur nuhun! 💕

I had a great first lesson with Riska! She is very kind, has a fun and laidback approach and was very patient with me and my foreign accent. I even got to meet her cat at the end of the lesson! Thanks Riska, see you again soon :)

Riska is an amazing teacher and I am so happy to have found her. She is articulate, kind and understanding. She gave a clear lesson plan and was very engaging the entire time. I learned more in my one hour class than I could have imagined and will gladly be looking forward to regular, future lessons. Thank you!
