Girish

Girisg has been instrumental in me learning his native Kannada. His English is EXTREMELY good - good enough to explain complicated topics ranging from linguistics to politics, ecology and so on. He is not only a seroious scholar, but also a serious traveller on a bike all over India, so you can get an invaluable insight of Karnataka culture into the broader Indian and Asian context. HIGHLY recommended.

Aaaaaaah that was so good to have Girish back and get back to my Kannada lessons, I have enjoyed telling him about my book from a Kannadati author and about my weekend in the West Coast of Ireland, he is always so helpful and pushing me to find ways to express my ideas in various way so I can find the easiest way for me to remember. Excited about the homework he gave me also! Cant wait for the next class! Matte sigoNa!

Girish has told me about his trip around Assam and Meghalaya cycling all in KannaDa and I had to understand his story. His always super helpful giving me synonyms when I do not understand, guidance for me to reach the answer by myself, sometimes driving us to laugh a lot when I am completely out of what he is expecting but languages is made to be enjoyed and that is what I love about Girish's classes! Thank you Teacher :)

It’s my 2nd lesson with Girish today and like the first time it was a pleasure. I’m learning the history, and culture of India alongside the language. He teaches in detail but doesn’t put pressure on the student.

My daughter is learning & picking up Kannada language with Girish Sir. Being from a non-kannada origin, I wanted my daughter to learn Kannda language, so that it will help her in schools once we move back to Bengaluru. My daughter likes Girish Sir teaching style and is confident to learn most of it in next few months.

It was good to have a class again after some time! we taked about Rajyotsava and he said I was completely crazy because of how I celebrated from Ireland haha and he is totally right but I enjoy my madness and love for Karnataka 💛❤️ :) He pushed me to not use English like usual and explaining all in in Kannada and brought support where I needed it.
