Julie

I truly enjoy working with Julie - the lesson hour passes by too quickly! The conversation we have in the first half of the class lets me practice my speaking skills, and the second half allows me to focus on grammar with exercises that Julie provides. It's a perfect combination and I'm really happy that I can keep up my French in this way. Julie is very flexible in her style and has plenty of ideas for lesson materials.

I appreciate Julie's flexibility and openness in going with the flow during our session. Today it was more conversation focused because I had a lot to say and questions to ask, and we got to the grammar exercises only towards the end. However, Julie was engaged in the conversation and did not try to hurry or force the actual exercises to be completed today. I am grateful to have Julie as my teacher.

Julie is a patient, understanding, and flexible teacher. She listens to my speaking without disrupting and gently correct my grammar/expressions afterwards. There is a natural flow in the lesson where we have a conversation and then move on to the exercises she provides, which I appreciate very much.

Another great lesson! We went over the exercises that Julie had sent me to work on. She was open and patient in explaining to me the answers that I got wrong, and I (re-)learned tremendously the usage of subjunctive.

I had another great session with Julie. I am new to the italki platform so I didn't see the teaching material Julie had sent me in preparation for our lesson today. However, Julie improvised quickly and effectively so the class still was engaging and fruitful!

It was my first session with Julie, and I'm excited to have found a teacher that I truly want to stay with to maintain/improve my French! Julie asked me attentive questions to tailor future lessons according to my interests, learning style, and language level. She even briefly assessed my French skills and provided encouraging feedback. Her lessons are also fairly priced, as I've seen that other private online classes cost double of what Julie charges. I'll be booking my next session immediately!
