Hello, my name is Dai. I have been a Japanese teacher in Japan for five years. I have also studied abroad in the US, so I can speak English. My hobbies are traveling, games, and manga. I had a great first lesson with Dai. We talked a bit about my past experiences with Japanese, and my goals for the class. Dai was very attentive, and very encouraging. Except for a few words here and there, we spoke only in Japanese, and if there was a new Japanese word, he took the time to explain it a bit in Japanese first before saying an English word.
