Hi, my name is Laura, I'm an English teacher here on italki and I would love the chance to help you improve your skills and confidence in English!
I was born in England, just outside of London, and have a degree in French and German from the University of Exeter. I've been teaching on iTalki since 2021, and worked as an English teacher in France last year. I'm now back in England working in London, and have continued teaching due to how much I love the classes with my students.
I've been lucky enough to work in France a few times, and study in Germany, and speaking the language opened up so many new possibilities. I can't wait to help you achieve the same with English!Tôi với tư cách là giáo viên
I am a friendly and approachable person, and want to be as supportive as possible so that you feel comfortable practicing your speaking skills. My number one priority as a teacher is making you feel as comfortable as possible, free to ask questions and make mistakes. I want you to feel at ease when we chat, knowing I'm here to help - and hopefully my reviews show that my students feel that way . I also speak French and German, so if you speak those languages more confidently, I am happy to have times in these languages to help aid your learning and explain anything you are struggling with.Phong cách dạy & bài học của tôi
I find it easier to express yourself in a foreign language when I am speaking about something I am interested in, and so this is my priority for you too! We will choose a topic before the class and I will prepare some resources to support our discussion. Then, we can speak about the subject and practice expressing yourself clearly and confidently, and building arguments or opinions. I will provide a feedback sheet with areas to improve on according to your goals, whether it be grammar, accent or improving your range of vocabulary - as well as the things that really impressed me during the class!Tài liệu giảng dạy của tôi

It's my 5th class with Laura and I absolutely loved it. She is so friendly and nice. My heart is always racing when I am about to speak English, but talking to her calms me down and opens my mind like never before. We decided not to pick the topic beforehand and to go with the flow, to speak about something I'm interested in at the moment. I've already bought a second package deal and looking forward to our conversations.
