Olavo

Olavo is super-interesting person. He is very passionate about various topics and generally we had a lot to talk about, as during our class not had been a single moment with awkward silence. Considering my beginner level of Portuguese we also spoke about some very profound topics, which forced me to find a way how to say things I had no idea how to say :D I love it. I would recommend Olavo's classes to anyone who is looking for informal and very friendly way to learn a lot of things. Muito obrigada pela nossa aula Olavo! :)

Many thanks Olavo for a great lesson. Tonight we talked about coronavirus and the effects of quarantine, healthy eating and exercise. I always enjoy the range of topics we cover. When I don't know a word, the conversation still flows with a re-phrasing of the question or an explanation of the word in Portuguese. It is like chatting to an old friend. Olavo types a list of my new words in the chat with a translation or pronunciation guide where needed. Very helpful. Muito obrigado Olavo. Até a proxima.

I just had my 1st lesson in Portuguese with Olavo. I knew about Olavo from his wonderful Podcast and YouTube channel — and I find it always so helpful when you know know your teacher through other educational projects that they do. Olavo is WONDERFUL as a teacher. So friendly and encouraging — and he makes it FUN to speak about anything the student desires. He is totally flexible and happy to adapt his teaching in ANY way that the student needs or wants. I plan to do many more lessons with him. THANK YOU! — :)

Olavo is a great teacher! He is very encouraging even when I feel stuck and confuse Spanish words with Portuguese. He has helped me feel less shy and more confident speaking the language. Additionally, the hour goes by really fast because he is engaging and interesting topics.
