Gen-san has been a great teacher thus far! He's well prepared for each session, with topics that are covered in an easy-to-follow format. He gives plenty of examples, and carefully guides me along. I'm looking forward to many more sessions with Gen!

Gen suggests useful phrase to supplement my explanation. I learned a lot of vocabulary from his lesson.

I had my first lesson with Gen sensei and was very pleased with how it turned out. We initially spoke some Japanese to start and despite my struggle to speak Japanese, which is one of the main things I wanted to improve, he was very patient and friendly. We then had a great discussion about my goals, his proposed teaching style to fit my needs and any other questions I had. Overall a fun lesson and great experience. I'm looking forward to my next lesson(s) with him!
