Prof Faiza

Every new lesson with Prof Faiza solidifies my belief that she is a very gifted teacher. I am taking both Arabic and French with her, and my skill level in those respective languages is quite different, yet she seamlessly switches to match me where I'm at, while at the same time encouraging me to challenge myself. I get very anxious when I don't know the answer to something, or don't know how to do something, and get very flustered and ridiculous, and Prof Faiza is SO patient with my silliness. I am learning to be okay with not being perfect, which has been a barrier for me in terms of learning not only languages, but new skills in general. I am growing increasingly comfortable with her, and I leave each lesson with a tangible feeling of having learned something new. The results are surprisingly immediate. I've been studying languages for years alone. A few months with Prof Faiza has already proven to be more useful. I am very lucky to have picked her out of all the teachers here!

A strong recommendation for anyone who really wants to learn the language and improve their knowledge. A real teacher with all the good attributes such as in-depth knowledge of the language, teaching skills, patience, giving good explanations which you then practice with her, but never boring. Excellent.

I am still continuing my French and Arabic lessons with Professor Faiza and am still loving them! Each lesson builds on the next, and the vocabulary she teaches is pertinent to real-world application. She gives great examples that make even difficult concepts easy to understand, and is very patient and encouraging. I also really appreciate that she will teach both technical and colloquial, so that you can speak more like a native whilst still understanding the core rules of the language. (This applies to how she teaches both French and Arabic.) I also just enjoy her as a person! She is very kind and funny, and it is very easy to build a rapport with her. Highly recommend for anyone for anyone who is serious about learning a new language.
