Maude

I started taking conversational classes with Maude in April, and I’ve seen a significant improvement in my speaking skills since then. I really appreciate her gentle and patient approach, as well as her attention to detail. She always takes the time to type out any grammar mistakes I make, which is incredibly helpful for me. Maude is also very punctual, offers useful advice, and consistently encourages me in my learning journey. I highly recommend her classes!

Maude is a very effective teacher. So far she has helped me so much with my vocabulary and has explained difficult grammar points in memorable ways. I also love that we talk about many different subjects and that we always speak French!

Maude is patient and kind. She breaks down the lesson in a way that makes learning easier. She is consistent and thoughtful with the lessons.

Every lesson with Maude is great. We have covered a vast range of topics that are all really interesting from different lifestyles, to how exercise "should be" done and societal expectations we have for ourselves physically, to the development of social media platforms with their advantages and disadvantages. Feedback in class is also given in different forms depending on my needs, sometimes it's instant verbal corrections, sometimes it's written down and reviewed later so we can further explore any problems. Despite taking French lessons on italki since 2020, I was having trouble getting the C1 level test results I need to be able to study abroad for my masters. After only a few lessons with Maude, I finally got my C1 and will be heading to Paris this fall! Merci beaucoup !

This lesson was super-helpful. I got some tips on differences in pronunciation between France and Québec before my upcoming trip to Québec, and also made progress in translating my self-written sentences, for French practice in general.
