Mia Kim

Mia has been teaching me for six months, and is a tremendous teacher. Like many others, I was struggling with self-teaching, and needed some guidance and motivation, which Mia provides me on a weekly basis through italki. Our lessons are well-organised and fun, and in addition to following a textbook, Mia always ensures the new language points are relevant and useful for everyday life, so that I can practise them straightaway. She is patient and encouraging, and I enjoy getting to know her through our weekly lessons, as well as seeing some decent progress in my Korean speaking abilities already.

I have learned more in 8 lessons with Teacher Mia then I have in my 9 previous months of lessons with another teacher. Teacher Mia is always cheerful and happy and it makes lessons with her so much fun. She has the patience of a Saint and I never feel rushed or embarrassed when I don't know something. I highly recommend taking lessons with her!

This was such a great lesson! She spent the first part of the class seeing how my Korean is and then actually took me over a lesson from the textbook. I was really happy because even though it's a trial lesson, she really taught me a lot. I wanted homework and she was happy to give that to me. Now I have certain words and sentences to practice before I talk to her in our next lesson. Thank you Mia for being such a patient teacher!

We learned some new grammar points and Teacher Kim explains new words really well! She has her own teaching materials so it's okay even if I didn't know where to start. I really like the class notes that she types in real-time which includes additional questions I had, and is sent after class. She also gave extra exercises for practice. :)

Mia is a very patient and encouraging teacher. Her explanations and feedback are always very clear. I'm grateful to have had her as a tutor for so long!

Mia has been teaching me for over a year now and has helped my Korean skills grow tremendously. I started taking Mia’s classes after finishing a Korean beginner boot camp and I did not really know how to continue my learning journey. Mia was able to help me figure out where would be the best new starting point and has helped strengthen my Korean foundation. She follows a well organized curriculum that covers the basics all the way to an advanced level. She is always kind, understanding, and willing to help me wherever I feel I am lacking. 감사합니다 선생님!!
