Hi there! My name's Barbara, I'm from Germany, and I'm excited to be able to offer conversation practice as a German native speaker here on Italki! I am really talkative, very patient, flexible and open-minded.
I started tutoring at a young age when my English teacher at high school asked me whether I was willing to give private English lessons to some of his students. That was the moment I realised how much I enjoyed teaching which I then maintained for many years.
I have a degree as a Foreign Language Correspondent for English and have been using Business English as well as some French and Spanish throughout my career while working for various international companies.Tôi với tư cách là giáo viên
For several years now, I have had numerous video calls with people from many countries of all continents including a lot of English, French and Spanish native speakers, practising my own foreign languages and helping them to improve their German. So if you speak any of the languages mentioned above, I can assure you that I am very well aware of the typical challenges you encounter with regards to German grammar and pronunciation.
I prefer an informal and relaxed teaching style.

I can offer German conversation practice on any topic of your choice, to suit your needs and requirements. I would like to let you decide the topic we talk about, but if you don't, I'll be glad to drive the conversation.
Together we can discuss the correct grammar and pronunciation, meaning of words and common usage. Furthermore we may correct your writing, be it German emails or letters you need to send, work on your reading or correct your homework.

Barbara is an incredible teacher. I have been with her for several years now and I still look forward to our classes. She has been great about adapting my lessons to my ability. I appreciate the fact that she offers sessions on many days of the week and at a variety of times so that it fits my schedule.

Always good talking with Barbara. I have been improving my German with her for a while now and she has been enormously helpful. She’s patient and gives good feedback and corrections. She’s also fun to talk to. I highly recommend her!
